In loving memory

A sunrise over a place they loved — the exact minute, dedicated to their memory, with a few words of your own. The nearest one or on the day you choose; a certificate to print.

Some places stay theirs. A sunrise over one of them can be a quiet way to remember.
When someone is gone, the places they loved stay: a garden, a harbour, a bench, the town they came from. Resthe lets you dedicate a real sunrise or sunset over such a place in their name, with a few words of your own. It is a small, quiet thing. It asks nothing of anyone, and it happens whether or not anyone is watching.
You choose the point on the map, and we calculate the moment for that exact place. The page shows when it will be, in local time. The certificate with the place, the coordinates, the time and your words is ready right after payment, to keep, print or share with family.
You can keep it for yourself, or send the page to someone who misses them too.
Which moment fits
On the words
- There are no right words. Their name, and one line that sounds like them, is enough.
Dedication length: up to 240 characters for Sky Wonders.
Questions
Whose name goes on the certificate?
You decide. Often it is the name of the person being remembered, “In memory of…”, and your name or your family’s.
Can I share it with the family?
Yes. The page is a private link; send it only to the people you choose.
Is the moment real?
Yes. Sunrise and sunset are calculated astronomically for the exact point you choose, and the certificate records the exact minute of the moment.
Will their name appear anywhere public?
Every dedication is private in the Resthe registry by default: nothing about it is shown. You can choose to show only a first name and an initial instead. A full name is never shown unless the recipient agrees.
Does it mean anything official?
No. It is a personal, symbolic dedication, recorded in the private Resthe registry.
Dedicate a moment in their memory
A commemorative dedication recorded in the private Resthe registry — not ownership of the sky, the weather or land, and not an official registration.
