Refund Policy
Version refund-2026-10-24 · last updated 24 October 2026
1. Scope
This policy explains Resthe’s refund approach for digital gifts purchased on resthe.com.
For orders processed through Stripe Managed Payments / Sold through Link, Stripe acts as merchant of record for the payment transaction and also provides transaction-level payment support. Stripe/Link may issue refunds under its own rules, at its discretion, or where required by law. Those rules may override a more restrictive part of this policy for matters Stripe controls.
Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
2. Personalized digital gifts and change-of-mind requests
A Resthe gift is personalized and digital, and delivery begins immediately after successful payment.
Subject to mandatory consumer rights and the Stripe/Link rules described above, Resthe does not normally provide a refund merely because:
- the purchaser changes their mind after delivery has begun;
- the recipient does not like the gift;
- the purchaser later prefers a different location, date, recipient or type of moment;
- clouds, weather, terrain, buildings, haze or other conditions made an astronomical moment difficult or impossible to see, where the Resthe rule confirms that the moment still occurred.
For customers who have a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right, the rules in section 8 of the Terms apply.
3. When Resthe will refund
We will provide or request a full refund where:
- you were charged more than once for the same order;
- a technical fault attributable to Resthe prevents the purchased gift from being delivered and we cannot reasonably fix it;
- Resthe accepted payment for a location or event that should have been blocked under the product rule in force for that order; or
- for a Life Moment, your payment was confirmed only after the moment had already happened (for example, a payment method that confirms with a delay): the full amount is refunded automatically and we email you;
- applicable law requires a refund.
Where our system can reliably determine that one of these conditions occurred, we may initiate the refund automatically.
4. Corrections instead of refunds
Right after payment the certificate is shown to you for approval. Until you approve it, the private management link allows any number of corrections of editable dedication details such as names or a message; after approval, one correction is possible within 24 hours, and then the certificate is final. Sending the gift link from that page counts as approval, and so does the moment occurring. The privacy setting can be changed until the moment occurs.
Coordinates, product type and other fields identified as fixed at checkout cannot be changed after payment unless Resthe expressly offers that correction.
For Life Moments the date you entered cannot be changed after payment, because the moment is calculated from it; the names and the message (up to 140 characters) follow the same approval rule, and the privacy setting can be changed until the moment happens.
5. How to request help or a refund
For a problem with the gift, write to support@resthe.com and include your Gift ID and a short description of what happened.
For orders processed through Sold through Link, you may also use Link support for payment, receipt or refund assistance. Stripe may contact Resthe for input on a refund request, or may process a refund under the Managed Payments rules without Resthe’s prior approval.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method unless applicable law or the payment provider requires another method.
After a refund is initiated, the time it takes to appear depends on the payment method, bank and country. Card refunds commonly take several business days and can take longer in some cases.
Any transaction tax included in a refund is handled by Stripe/Link according to the Managed Payments rules and applicable law.
7. Disputes and chargebacks
If possible, contact Resthe or Link support before opening a dispute with your bank so the issue can be reviewed quickly.
If a payment is formally disputed or reversed, Resthe may temporarily suspend access to the certificate, gift-management features or other order benefits while the payment status is unresolved, to the extent permitted by law.
